Oh… my! I don’t often get stopped in my tracks but I think Terry has met a unicorn. Or a mermaid – maybe both. These new palettes are like candy – I can’t stop looking at them. The bright one is called Fun’Tasia and the neutral is Pixie Nude.
The idea for these comes from gaming pixels and there is something very satisfactory about the tidiness and geometry of them. The external square is a smooth matte shade while the core square is high, high shimmer. You need to be a bit careful because the textures are entirely different, so you’re likely to go a bit harder on the matte than you should on the shimmer. The shimmer is so soft and buttery in texture that it needs the lightest possible touch.
Although I’m obsessed with the Fun’Tasia palette for its rainbow shades, I think in reality, I’m more likely to use this one more often (really not sure that I can do a yellow eye!). There isn’t a colour in Pixie Nude that I wouldn’t happily put on my lids. The included brush, by the way, is decent quality but it’s not the one I’d reach for to apply I don’t think.
All the shimmers gleam like the gold which has caught the light better at the end of the swatch row – but if you want them even more glowy, you can wet them down which would work beautifully as a liner.
I mean, really – on a fiery hot day, I can see myself dipping into that purple or aqua shade for light catchy lids. Bottom line is that I think this palette is risky in terms of getting use out of it, but if you’re up for working it out as you go along and you’ll smile every time you open it, why not! They’re £38 (which I think is quite reasonable for this brand) at SpaceNK HERE.
