Wet n Wild has been launched in India finally and with that, I finally got my hands on some of the most raved products of this popular drugstore brand. The Color Icon glitter eye shadow range sells like hot cakes always and most of the shades remain out of stock. I am totally a glittery makeup lover and I always look for products that have glitters in them. Be it nail polishes or eye shadows, glitters always find a special place in my makeup stash. I have already tried some of the shades in their Color Icon glitter single range which are meant for both face and body, but I was not quite impressed. This time I decided to try out some of the shades, “Nudecomer” and “Karma” from the glitter eyeshadow range. So, today’s review is on Wet n Wild Color Icon Nudecomer Glitter Single Eyeshadow. Read further to find more about it.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Color Icon Nudecomer Glitter Single:
The Wet n Wild Color Icon Eye shadow Glitter Single comes in a range of 7 different and varied glittery shades- Groupie, Brass, Bleached, Toasty, Spiked, Karma and Nudecomer. These entire shades look really beautiful and are insanely budget-friendly. So, if you are into glittery makeup and still don’t want to empty your pockets much, you must definitely pick some shades from this range.
Packaging: The eye shadow comes inside a petite, black rectangular shaped sleek pan and is covered by a transparent lid. You can easily see the colour of the eye shadow from outside. The front side of the pan has the shade name and the brand name written on it, whereas the back side of the pan has no significant details mentioned. Nothing related to the ingredient details list is mentioned on the eyeshadow pan. The pan opens with a slight pull. The packaging isn’t very strong and compact, but since it is very small in size, you can conveniently carry it around everywhere. Overall, the packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly.
The eye shadow does not come with an applicator brush. Hence, in order to apply it, you either need to use your fingers or carry a separate eye shadow brush. Other than that, I find the packaging quite adorable.
Shade:The shade “Nudecomer” is quite a unique warm bronze glittery eye shadow which I love so much. The eye shadow does not have coarse glitter particles in it; rather, this is a shimmery shade which adds a beautiful iridescent finish when applied. The colour is perfect to create festive looks and party looks. It will mostly go with evening makeup looks and will complement every Indian skin tone.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is really great. It occupies the eyelids perfectly and evenly. I did not face any issues with building the pigmentation of these eyeshadows. The colour is so vibrant that it shows up on the eyes clearly. It is infused with finely milled glitter pigments that blends like a dream and does not feel coarse on the eyes. The glow it delivers is blinding to the beholder. You would need about 2-3 swipes for fuller coverage on the eyelids.
Texture and Consistency: This is the major plus point of this eye shadow. According to the description, it is infused with Aloe and coconut oil, which goes ultra-smooth on eyes. The texture of this particular eye shadow is something I can vouch for. On application, it looks flawless and delivers a smooth finish. Also, it feels feather light on eyelids. I have already used the Wet N Wild Color Icon Glitter Single in shades Vices, Distortion and Spiked. All these shades have already been reviewed on IMBB. All these contained coarse glitter particles which could be bothersome to be worn on eyes. However, the shade “Nudecomer” is exactly opposite in performance to those shades and goes super creamy and ultra smooth on application. I mean, I really did not expect such a superb texture and pigmentation at such a mind-boggling price. It can give a tough competition to other brands having creamy eyeshadows.
On application using fingers, I observed that the coverage was very even. You can apply it with your fingers or with an eyeshadow brush. It never goes patchy even on layering it. It does not crease or settle into fine lines. It does not transfer much once it sets and it is waterproof as well.
Sometimes, I prefer to wet my eye shadow brush which makes the colour look metallic and eye-catching. In order to ensure more longevity, you can also apply it over your eye primer. This eye shadow can also be used as a highlighter in the inner corner of your eyes or underneath your brow bone for more defined eyebrows. In a nutshell, I am more satisfied with the formula of the product. It is creamy, it blends well and it feels so comfortable on eyes. So what else can you ask for, right??
Staying Power: Staying power is also bang-on. Normally, it stays for 5-6 hours. On primed eyelids, it stayed for about 7-8 hours. If you have oily eye lids, make sure you use an eye primer before application of this shadow. It gets removed easily with any oil-based makeup remover.
Overall: I love, love, love this product. Yes, it is extremely budget-friendly and I did not find any significant con after using it. This definitely is on the favourites list of my makeup stash. Even if you find other shades in the Color icon Glitter range not very impressive, the shade “Nudecomer” will certainly not disappoint you. So, do give this a try.
