I was absolutely ready to do a post about the & Other Stories sale yesterday because it’s one of my favourite stores and I buy regularly from there, but the sale hadn’t actually started so I couldn’t. Lo and behold, today the sale absolutely has begun so I’m doing a few picks that I like (or am ordering) but it’s very well worth a browse. & Other Stories is the more sophisticated sister of H&M and it’s exactly right for finding wearable trends that won’t break the bank. Originally, & Other Stories was destined to be a beauty brand only within the H&M stable but as the concept grew it was clear that there was so much more to the brand than beauty. Cos is also under the H&M umbrella, but is more stark and clean lined than Stories which is happy to throw a few floaty, flowery dresses our way. I never go in there without leaving with something, most recently some (black) summer trousers and a floaty shirt. If you’re in a browsing mood, head HERE, but otherwise, my recommends are below (oh, and it’s free shipping through June) :
Just when you were convinced that you could never, ever, under any circumstances wear yellow… team this floaty, pleat detail, lightweight blouse with denim or white jeans. It’s reduced from £59 to £33 HERE.
I’ve seen this in stores – it’s really so pretty, covered in embroidered flowers and yet is somewhat anti-summer – perfect for anyone who isn’t embracing pastels any time soon. It’s was £35, it’s now £23 HERE.
When the British summer throws a curveball.. like today with zero sun and back in jumpers.. be ready with something warm and bright. This sweater has dropped shoulder seams so it looks slouchy and loose. It was £69, now £35 HERE.
This is such an any-time dress – office, wedding, party – you name it, it will do very nicely. It’s lightweight and floaty but nothing to stop you throwing a big cardi and ankle boots at it to make it as good in winter as it is in summer. It was £69, now £42 HERE.
See, you know that time about mid-spring where your boots look to wintery but it’s not quite warm enough to get your toes out? Also, see that same odd time about mid-September when it’s not quite autumn enough for a full shoe but those toes, now out, are a bit nippy? I think these are the answer. They’re reduced from £79 to £43 HERE.
Non Aff HERE.
