I have been using face masks since my teenage year, but have not really dabbled with peeling masks. I recently picked peeling masks from Nature Republic and Holika Holika. I am yet to try out the former one and will review that soon, but I have tried this Holika Holika Egg Skin Peeling Gel a lot and certainly have an opinion about it. Face masks are essential for skin care. It is important to wear wash off or sleep or sheet mask at least 2-3 times a week for a more concentrated and effective absorption of nutrients by skin. Masks make skin softer, tighter, and also reduce the appearance of pores. The mask in this review is one of its kind and is certainly worth a try.
Facial peeling gel formulated with natural eggs from Mountain Jiri. It sweeps away dead skin cells and dirt for a silky-smooth, supple skin
How To Use:
Apply to dry face and gently massage with circular motions while avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
My Experience with Holika Holika Egg Skin Peeling Gel:
This peeling gel mask comes in a cute, egg-shaped container. Although the quantity appears less but a very small amount of gel is needed for face and neck, so it appears that it will last for a while. The best way to use this mask it to apply right after skin cleansing. I apply a thin coat of this mask evenly on my face and then gently massage the face in circular motions. I continue massaging till the gel mask starts to crumble and starts picking up dead skin and dirt. This feature of the mask is essential since it helps clear out oil and grime out of the pores and removes impurities. This mask is gentler at clearing pores than using an abrasive exfoliating cleanser which leaves skin raw and irritated.
This mask contains certain chemicals that are perhaps essential for creating the right texture of the product and preserve it. It contains some natural ingredients as well such as sugar cane and sugar maple extract which give this gel mask a sticky feature and helps it attract dirt from face. It contains orange and lemon fruit extracts which impart the brightening feature. Most importantly, it contains egg yolk extract and egg shell membrane which help tighten pores and restore skin elasticity.
After washing this mask, my skin feels smoother and softer and feels prepped for further layering of skin products. This mask is a unique product with amazing skin cleansing properties without making skin dry or irritated.
