My Experience with L.A. Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick Cherished:
The lipstick comes in a basic, black-colored plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color coded; this helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying around. So, I have to be extra careful while carrying this lipstick to avoid any mess. Also, a small part of the lipstick peeps out of the tube, so a little care is required while removing/placing the cap to prevent the bullet from getting damaged. The shape of the lipstick bullet shaped helps to achieve précised application. Overall, the packaging is very ordinary.
“Cherished” is a beautiful berry pink kind of shade with some purple undertones. It is suitable for most Indian skin tones. It is a pretty shade for everyday use. I quite love purple lip colors these days. The shade is not too vibrant and pigmented and can be used on an everyday basis. The lipstick does not contain any shimmer. The brand claims it to be crème lipstick but the lipstick sets to a creamy matte kind of a finish after a few minutes of application.
The lipstick is decent in pigmentation. Two-three swipes are required to build up the color on the lips. It completely hides pigmented lips and looks even on the lips. The finish of the lipstick is smooth and non streaky. It does not look patchy.
The texture of this shade is smooth. It does not cause dragging of the lips as well. It does not highlight dry patches and gives smooth healthy looking lips. It is not too lightweight but it is not heavy either. I can still feel the presence of the lipstick on my lips but it does not feel sticky or heavy in terms of texture. The lipstick is smudge-proof and does not mess around the lips. The formula is not heavily transferring but still there is a little transfer of color. The formula is non-drying and keeps my lips moisturized well.
The lipstick lasts for around 4-5 hours on my lips with a little fading but this shade leaves a light stain behind after meals. The stain looks quite cheap & hence the lipstick requires a reapplication. This stain can be taken off with a good makeup remover.
