1. Onions

Apply it focussing mainly on hair roots. Do it twice or thrice a week to notice considerable difference.

Did you know eggs are full of proteins and are one of the best ingredients to apply on thinning hair? You can use olive oil with an egg. Make a mixture and apply on your hair like a mask. Keep it for 20 minutes and wash off with shampoo. Do it twice a week.

3. Amla-Shikakai-Reetha

These 3 are wonder ingredients and are herbal too. They don’t have any side effects and are great to combat any hair issue. You can find them in powdered form in your local market. You can use that powder with water to wash your hair or you can also use the powder as a mask too. They might take time to show results but their results are long-lasting.

Fenugreek is one of the best ingredients you could use to maintain scalp health. It contains various proteins that help in hair regrowth and improve the overall quality of your hair follicles. You can make a paste of these seeds and add water to it to reach desired consistency. Apply this on your scalp and let it sit for about an hour. Wash it off gently with a shampoo.

5. Beetroot Leaves

Beetroot is rich in vitamins C and B6, folate, manganese, betaine and potassium, all of which are essential for healthy hair growth. It also acts as a detoxification agent by helping keep the scalp clean. To use this, boil 7-8 beetroot leaves and grind along with 5-6 henna leaves. Make a paste. Apply this paste on your scalp and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

It is also rich in antioxidants that protect the scalp and the hair fibers from damage as it contains nourishing fats and alpha-tocopherol that keep the scalp rejuvenated and hydrated. The best way to use this oil is to warm it up and then massage your scalp and hair shaft properly. A good ol’ champi is one of the best ways to increase blood circulation and reduce thinning of hair.

7. Licorice Root

It contains several chemical compounds which are greatly beneficial for preventing hair loss, treating dandruff, healing fungal infections, and reversing chemical damage of the hair and scalp. You can make a cleanser out of it, just add one tablespoon of dried licorice root per three cups of boiling water. Let them boil. Keep it to cool down and then use it as a rinse.

This helps stimulate hair growth from dormant hair follicles which results in increasing hair volume. You can extract natural aloe vera gel from its plant. Apply this gel on your scalp. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash it off. Regular use will result in thickening of hair in a few weeks time.
