There are times when sugar cravings can hit people really hard and curbing the urge can be difficult to fight. Then again, given, today’s foodscape that is rife with quick, cheap access to sugary beverages and quick-meal-fixes, our resolve to keep our sugar intake in check can fall off the track easily.
But fret not for you can always put your sugar-cravings to rest. Here are some foods you can include in your diet to take the edge off.
Known to be a chocolate that contains more than 70% cocoa and healthy plant compounds known as polyphenols, there can be nothing better than a few pieces of dark chocolates to please your sweet tooth without putting too much sugar in your body.

Legumes like lentils, beans, and chickpeas are good sources of protein, fibre, and nutrients. Including them in your diet can leave you feeling full and satisfied, leaving you with little chances of being hit with a craving.

Yogurt is a high protein food and also a good source of calcium that you can snack on when you are craving some sugar. It helps you feel full and is an extremely healthy choice to go for. Keep away from flavoured yogurts that are packed with sugar, though.
